WHEN TWILIGHT COMES is the story of a strong widowed mother, Marge Hairston, Owner of the Woodmore Times, and her three children, Drogan, Cassandra (Cassie), and Sharon the youngest. Margie is confronted with failing health, and the behavior of her children dealing with the many crisis they're about to face.
There were many secondary characters which brought so much to WHEN TWILIGHT COMES, you could possibly think there was a second book in the future with all these wonderful characters stories.
I've always been a big fan of Ms. Forster books, enjoyed them all, and WHEN TWILIGHT COMES has proven to be another excellent read.

I enjoyed this book immensely from beginning to end. The characters, who are the siblings are a trip and would make wonderful sequels for another book because they have some unfinished stories in this book that I would like to know about. I am one of those readers who try to guess what happens at the end of a story, but it didn't happen the way I perceived it. This is the first time I've ever read Ms. Forster's novel and she is a wonderful writer. Top grade in my book. I know that I'm going to enjoy more of her books in the near future.

I am a great fan of Gwynne Forster,"Beyond Desire" will probably be one of my all time favorites hands down. yet, I find that this book was rushed. In one scene you have a situation, and before you can digest it, here we go into something else. It had a great idea. A mother who has to retire from the thing that driven her the most, and the tension between the siblings when the youngest accepts. Good theme. But, you couldn't get into it because you didn't know which way was up.... Hey, I'm not mad, you get a dud sometimes. Keep on keeping on.

My first read by Gwynne Foster, starts slow but keep reading. After reading When Twilight Comes it made me think , how many of us like Cassie and Drogan take things for granted and don't realize what you had until it is gone.

I've been looking forward to Ms. Forster's first crossover into mainstream fiction and I'm not disappointed. Although, I was slow getting into this story I really enjoyed the way these characters made me think about myself and what I would do in a similar situation. These characters are people you know, maybe even yourself.
As always I look forward to future books by Ms. Forster.
