There is just nothing good in this book. I thought I was seeing things when I saw most people giving this book five stars…but this book just boring, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, boring of a book.

People also say that this is so “scaring” and “chilling” because it could happen in real life, but it’s not scary at all, for reasons I can’t even explain because the book was so boring to me.

This could have been a great book, the original storyline looked great, which was the reason I picked the book up. THis COULD be a good book, but instead of making it a horror book of any kind, Koontz made this into a 400-page boring book which only featured three people running acros California (I wish Koontz would think of more places for settings of his books) and a little boy going into trances. This is NOT horror, but barely mystery. This should not even be classified as a book.

Don’t get me wrong, I do like Dean Koontz, but this book is just an insult to his name, no wonder he originally released it under a pen-name.

This book does not even deserve a 1 star rating.

Bottom line: DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK

Dean Koontz has written some excellent books, “Lightning” being the best he has done. Because I read “Lightning” first, and I know other people who have read other Dean Koontz books, I assumed that “Servants of Twilight” would be at least mediocre. I must say, that this was absolutely the worst book I have ever read. The only reason I read it to the end is because I kept hoping that at leaset the ending would be good. (it wasn’t). If you think the book is bad, then see the movie. If it was possible for a book to have B.O., then this would be the book to have it.

Don’t get me wrong, at times I love Koontz. I think Phantoms, Whispers, House of Thunder, and Intensity are among his best. BUT the other extreme are his characters that are super-perfect and overcome such odds that it left me rolling my eyes in exasperation. Also the ending greatly disapointed me. “Was” he or “Wasn’t” he? There is no closure. Don’t waste your time! Along with ‘The Mask’ one of Koontz’s worst ever.

Kept me gripped from beginning to end! I was a little disappointed with the ending, though. But I still think this is a very good read.

Creo que Dean Koontz es el mejor escritor de libros de terror que he leido nunca, estoy leyendo todos sus libros y cada uno es una aventura diferente, cuesta dejar el libro a medias, espero que escriba muchos muchos libros mas.
